Reunion
So..........on the 9th the boy came back. I haven't seen him since I last took him to the airport, him to go home, me off to D.C., back in April 07. Any one who knows me can begin to imagine what its been like for me inbetween that time, leading up to this moment, and then it actually happening.
Any ways, I think we had a really great time. He got in super late Thursday due to some missed flights. On Friday we went to the DMV so he could get his motorcycle learning permit, then we went home and got on the bikes. I think we went to In & Out for lunch, then did quick run up and down 9. It was freezing cold up there or we might have continued further. Friday evening I had planned a little event at Butter in San Francisco. It was good times with a few friends. We spent the night up there as well.
Saturday we had breakfast in the city, then spent the rest of the day out on the bikes, well bike, we ended up just going 2-up on my bike since he was hating Armen's bike. For a new rider, he was doing really well, especially with a passenger. We rode up to the Alpine Inn and stopped for a root beer, then went to Cycle Gear, where he picked up some awesome Dianese boots. In the evening we went to the Sharks game (Sharks over the Kings 3-1).
Sunday was all about Fleet Week! We went up on the bike, Armen leading. Lane splitting is a very very scary thing to be watching from the back of ur own bike with a noob at the wheel. Just sayin. We met up with Roman and watched the show from inside the fenced off beer area LOL. It was awesome. The Blue Angles fucking rock. .......ok, so after that we headed to Pier 39, the place was packed!! Had dinner at Bubba Gumps, then he and I set off to go across the Golden Gate Bridge. I think that moment was my favorite time all weekend. The bridge is always gorgeous no matter when you are looking at it, but at night, clear sky, an almost full moon, the city lights, it was just beautiful.
Monday we did a ride up to Alice's...then home. I made dinner, but it was epic fail, but a lot was going on at the time so I don't think my cooking skills should be judged on that meal. Tuesday morning I had to take him back to the airport and say goodbye. Of course I was crying, can't help it. He told he would be back before he left to go inside.
