Memorial Day weekend '05

Went up to Clearlake for the weekend, stayed at a nice little place in Lakeport right on the edge of the lake. Got a lot of sun!!! Sunday took the boat over to Konocti Harbor, real nice place. And then did a little fishing.
It was a really nice weekend all around.

Well its been a busy last couple of weeks.....
Last week was all about the Barf Fundraiser. I was driving around and making a bunch of calls to try and gather up some good raffle prizes. The task was much easier than I expected it to be. Really all I had to do was ask, and merchants were more than happy to donate. Any ways, the fundraiser was a huge success. I dont know the final numbers yet, but I know it was way more than I think most people expected.
This week so far, has just been blah. Monday was actually pretty decent. Tuesday I went to visit my rescue kitten, and to introduce her to her new owner. She is so cute, its so awful that she wont be my little girl anymore. But I just cant have 3 cats. Not in an apartment, and defintely not considering how often I move. After that we went to Pizza Chicago, I guess a day that ends with pizza cant be all that bad :) Wednesday I had to wake up at 4am so I could get ready at to my moms by 5am...then head out to Yuba City for a funeral. That sucked ass. Barely got to rest in the car ride up and back. Thursday was just useless because I was still so tired from wednesday. I did get quite a bit packed up in the evening though.
So that brings us to today, Friday. I think the day will suck, but things should get better after work. My mom is coming tonight to pick up my cats, and keep them until I move next weekend. Its hard not to have my cats with me everyday. Especially at night, no kittens to cuddle with :( Then after she leaves and I pack my bags I am off to spend the weekend up at Clearlake. I have never been there so it should be fun. I am just looking forward to laying in the sun and relaxing. Oh I also want to go fishing really badly. Hopefully I will actually catch something.
That was my week. Next week will be interesting. Most of my stuff is packed up. I have no cable and no internet. I guess I'll just have to go to the gym for entertainment.

My new car

2005 Chevrolet Cobalt

Well, no more Aveo talk...last night I went out and bought me a brand new Cobalt! Only had 15 miles on the engine when I got her. I have never owned a brand new car before, its really quite exciting!
I didn't plan on actually buying a car last night, but when the dealer turned to me and said he would pay off my truck in full...that was it. There was no way I could pass up that deal.
Now, just gotta get those windows tinted!

Target Masters 05/05/05

Went shooting last night! Hecka fun!!
Started off on Sonny's 9mm...then used Dan's .22 (what a sissy gun). The .357 was what I really wanted to be shooting. I just love revolvers. Dan's .38 was by far the best!! So small, and with a really good punch!! I also put in some time with Armens 40, very powerful, yet exceptionally light.
