Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Yummy! Posted by Picasa

Keeping up with my aZn side and celebrating the Year of the Dog, tonight I made these lettuce wraps for the fam. The recipe was fairly simple, cooking time was less than 30 minutes, plus its actually a good for you dinner.
k, recipe for you...enjoy!

1 pound White Ground Turkey Breast
1 teaspoon vegetable oil

1 red bell pepper,
diced1/2 cup green onions,
sliced1 1/2 tablespoons
ginger root, finely grated
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon
red pepper flakes
1/3 cup hoisin sauce
1/4 cup
sliced almonds, toasted
8 iceberg lettuce leaves, washed, dried, chilled

(I used butter lettuce, left the almonds out. Also, I substituted the red pepper flavor with hot chili sauce, and coconut oil instead of vegetable oil. I used bean sprouts for a crunchy topper. )

fun w/ photoshop

I've had the program installed on my computer, but never took any time to figure out how to use.
Its not that hard for the simple effects such as the "neon lines" demonstrated in the above photo.
I messed around with a few other effects, pretty cool. Should make for more interesting photo stories.

KITS 105.3 (Live 105)

On the morning on 12 January 2006, the radio station 105.3 in San Francisco had the morning disc jockeys make the following statements on the air regarding motorcyclists:

Here's my best shot at a full transcript of the original segment from the DJs, from the start through the finish of their segment. They finished, and then when calls started coming in later, they talked some more. -- m0t0_ryder

Woody:All right, so uh.. I don’t… you know. It doesn’t really matter what you think about abortion in the case of this story because we all feel the same way about traffic.

Everybody should suffer equally.

And I’m even talking about people on motorcycles. One of my pet peeves, we’re going to get into a whole pet peeves segment later in the show but, one of my pet peeves is people on motorcycles who think they don’t have to wait in traffic like everybody else.

Like just because your car is skinnier – that’d be like someone in a mini cooper squeezin’ between traffic and weaving in and out.

Renae: Sure, same thing

Woody: Like you can’t do that. And nothing would make me happier than to watch somebody – and I’ve actually seen this one time – somebody open a door and take you out if you’re trying to squeeze through people who have been sitting in traffic for 45 minutes.

Tony: If it didn’t rip my door off, I’d probably do it.

Woody:I don’t want to see anyone get hurt, honestly, but I mean you get so mad, so frustrated. It’s kinda like those guys who haul ass past you on the freeway going like a hundred and sixty miles an hour on their crotch rocket. You like… you know what, I hope…I hope you crash.

Renae: It’s like I look forward to seeing up ahead…

Woody: Splattered.

Renae: Splattered.{laughter – I think Renae and Tony.}

Woody: Just for being an a-hole, right? So everybody should just suffer equally. Otherwise society just plunges into chaos.{end of segment}

2006

Another new year.
I was with my friend at D&B's on New Years Eve, on tv we watched the ball drop in NY, and everyone around the bar was so happy and excited to be counting down to the new year. And there we were, thinking ok, whats the big deal.
It almost made me feel like there was something wrong with me. Why dont I have the same hope and excitement about it being the beginning of a new year. But on the other hand, its just another day, like any other, except it just so happens to be January 1st.
well anyways, onto the typical resolutions crap. Well, I dont exactly make resolutions, more like things I'd like to do....

* I need to learn to ride my bike. I need to learn confidence in turning with speed. I know I'm a sunday rider, but I really want to learn to ride really well and fast.

* I'll be starting school...again, so I just want to do well and keep with it. Really, I'll be 27 and what am i really doing with my life. I've been working since i was 16 and what do I have to show for it?

* I already go to the gym regularly, so I guess I just need to stick with that. I should probably go to the doctor and find out whats wrong with me too while I'm at it. I've been so freaking depressed for the last year and a half, I'd like to not be that way anymore.

* If i can, I'd like to do another track day, or maybe even a two day event. Last time I went I had a lot of fun, and I think that if I am ever gonna learn, its gonna happen at the track. Ballz out!

* heh, this is a dumb one...but I will not cut my hair!

* and lastly, I'll care less about what other peop
le think. So to start things off right,
