Now how's that for a fully furnished Army supplied apartment bedroom??

Yeah, the new digs are pretty freakin nice. I love my furniture, I wish I could keep it! The sheets are scratchy, but thats ok....the kitchen utensils are way understocked, but nothing a trip to Ikea won't fix.

Spent a lot of money on my frist grocery trip, and hitting up Target for the little neccessities, but even if the Mon-Fri training sucks, at least I will have th is nice place to go home to.

Went and visited my friends apartment on the 20th floor....oh boy, theview is spectacular, but uh yeah, still afraid of heights!!!

In DC now... got in a little late. this place is kinda ghetto..seriously. In a scary Motel 6, but its all I could find, hecka expense too for a 6. At the least the pizza place I found was pretty decent.
Check in with the company tomorrow, hope the apartments are nice, hope I dont get a sucky roommate, heh. I wish I were back home :(

Last night at home, back to the Army life tomorrow morning. Sucks but thats what you get when you sign an eight year contract.

I am so happy to be home and to be able to enjoy the wonderful produce of California!!!


So I went grocery shopping this afternoon, I was like retarded giddy in the store. I loaded up the cart with every vegetable & fruit in season.......and decided that I was gonna cook dinner tonight.


A simple dish, really not a lot of actual cooking involved, more just preparing. I made a large salad of spinach, organic greens, and romaine lettuce. Added in some shredded carrots, red cabbage, sliced mushrooms, olives, roasted garlic and strawberry tomatoes. And finally I topped it off with chicken breast, green onions and a little bit of a four cheese blend. Served the dish with choice of dressing, and some olive and parmesan foccacia bread with a cucumber spread. :)

Another day, 3 more states, 800 more miles...

Sunday, April 15th.........woke up and got ready to hit the road again. I was in southwestern Alabama! trucked on through, the countryside is no beautiful..oh did I mention it was raining, yeah it was freaking raining. Went through the corner of Georgia, oh my god Georgia is gorgeous!!! Any ways, then it was forever to get through dumb ol Tennessee...and thats when the rain really started! It was so damn bad..my windshield wipers could hardly keep up. And having to pass a trucker, it was just a water blurry.

I stopped about 2 miles inVirginia to pee..and it started to hail. About 2 minutes later, snow. It wasn't cold enough for it to stick, but none-the-less, it was snowing! The rain never stopped all day, jsut kept getting harder. Most of the eastern coast is flooded right now. Monday morning, no rain, now just freezing temps with superman strength winds!

Ahhh, got to the airport, 12 hours later I finally got home!

ok, we got up early and I took the boy to the airport...horrible emotional mess :p oh well thats me, its his fault.
About 0530 i was headed on my way.......
For the first couple of hours no one was one the road, it was nice...cruise control is even nicer.
Went thru Houston, then thru Louisiana. Saw lots of greenery and swamp!
Mississippi was pretty dang boring. No one on the road, then freek downpour. I guess there have been tornado watches all day.
Stopped for the night in Livingston, Alalbama at a Comfort Inn, at least I have a pretty nice room :)
Talked to the boy, he and his mommy sang me Happy Bday :blush
He had a crap ass day flying around and getting delayed.

uh yeah so officially i am never (well at least not by choice) going back to Fort Sam Houston!
Decided to stay the n ight at our home away from home, get a good nights sleep,a nd kick off the road trip of death tomorrow at 0500. i got 2.5 days to go 1610 miles, no problemo!

graduation this morning, w00t. Everyone for the most part has already left, and i'm still here.
I'm really happy I can be here for the boy to see his graduation. Wonder if he woulda stayed for me though.
I'm in such an ick mood, cant seem to shake it.
