I've been home for one year as of today.

When I was gone all I would keep thinking is, just get through it, everything will be better when you get home. Is it? The first couple months were weird. After the summer it seemed that life was getting back on track....but of course can't let that happen. October thru December I'd just like to forget. I think 2008 was the worst year of my frickin life.
Somehow I'm still here and I can't really complain so far. I guess I would even say the last three months were pretty good.

Been quite busy these last two weeks. Last weekend went to Camp Roberts with the team. I really had a good time. This time we went out solo, not with the whole battalion, so we were much more relaxed. Set up shop on Friday, qualified Saturday plus some good BBQ for dinner, cleaned up and headed home Sunday.

So I wore my glasses to the range....they helped. I might need to actually get a real prescription :( Any ways, I ended up shooting 33/40, but we used paper targets, which is so easy.

What else? School is winding down, I'm so glad. I'll never try and take such a full load again. Headed up to Pleasanton on Friday to eat some yummy sushi with some moto-heads. Probably the best sushi I've ever had. Went to a very odd bar / club deal afterwards.....never seen so many white guys LOL. Saturday did some lollygagging before going to the Sharks vs. Kings game with Alan. It was Alan's first hockey game. Game was amazing, ended in a dramatic shootoff, and of course, the Sharks won! Yeah.....and today I have done nothing but clean or do homework......but my apartment is looking rather spectacular ha ha.

Square Root Day!

So if I didn't take a picture, then its probably not worth talking about...though most stuff I write isn't worth talking about in the first place.

First, there was a Wienermobile sighting at the commissary...

I re-covered a new to me weight bench...who woulda thought I'd find camo vinyl??? Oh, and I <3> the staple gun

The cats had a royal rumble while I was at work, poor Titanium now has a bald spot :(

oooh! We went to eat at Kabul again....sooooo delicious. This is a dish called Kadu. Its pumpkin, with yogurt and meat sauce. Totally weird combo, I call it Taco Bell dessert.
And well on saturday Bryan invited me over to work on bikes; and the GSXR did need an oil change. Started cleaning the chain while the oil drains.....that chain was filthy nasty. Its cleaner now, but I want to take the chain completely off and clean everything. Any ways, Bryan discovers that the pan plug is sealed with silicone and nylon taped. WTF. Who were these morons that owned this bike before me? This poor bike is like an abused child that I had to take in and try and give her a better life. Any who, a simple project that turned to shit as usual. So, yeah, new pan to come. So the point of this story? I was kinda pissy and dirty, so I did some retail therapy.......:D
I guess that about sums up the last few weeks. Well, I did leave out the excitement that happened at the Bonnett, and then the police ride, Stanford ER, and my brother destroying his car........ And then going back to the Bonnett later in the week after school.....the Hot Cop stopped by, did I mention he drives a bad ass Chevy truck? :drool But these were all just boring little events hee hee
