RIP Fallen Rider

Melinda Moore Posted by Picasa

May the road ride up to meet you,
May the apexes be smooth,
May your brake markers never move,
And may you always be smiling as you disappear into the distance, your knee puck on the deck.

I hate my boss!

**warning, this is one hell of a rant**

My boss is a grade A asshole! I hate him. 3 1/2 years of working for this idiot, and I dont know how much longer I can stand it!
backround info - 34 yrs old, on his 3rd wife....when I started working for the company, he was on wife #2, 6 months later, he was cheating with a client (lost that account). Messy divorce and I have to go double time getting the books back in order because the ex decided to cut herself checks before she officially quit.
I run the office on my own, no one else.....I am responsible for every position in the company except field tech....I have had only 1 vacation in 3 years, and while in hawaii I still had to run payroll and check email everyday! Myboss has had 34 days of vacation this year so far!! That doesnt even include sick days for him, his kids, or when he decided to not come in all weekwhen he was having construction done on his house.
And today, I get an email saying that "we need to talk about your job" I am to put it on the schedule...and "make sure that I am there" WTF! yeah I am gonna make an appt and then not show up...fucking moron. oh btw, I had a job interview today at lunch..HA! I will be the happiest little girl in the world if I could just call in and tell him to fuck off. Its almost a guarantee the company will go under. My boss is totally incompetent. I have written it down a million times for them, but I am still the only one who knows how to do any of the accounting, he doesnt even know who are vendors are! good luck fucker.

Kill two, maim two, pay $125 fine

un-fucking-believable!

A surprise move, a youth who killed two motorcyclists and maimed their passengers when he crossed the center line and hit them in New Mexico has pleaded "no contest" to charges related to the crash.

His penalty?

A $125 fine.

Gerald Bailon, then 15 years old, was driving a pickup truck alone on a learner's permit near Taos, New Mexico, on May 30, 2004 when his truck crossed the center line and hit a motorcycle ridden by Leslie Walker, 59, of Colorado, killing him. Walker's passenger, Kathleen Pullara, lost her left leg below the knee as a result of the crash.

Timothy Searles, 41, and his wife, Jennifer, were riding a bike along with Walker. Timothy died later from injuries he suffered in a crash while avoiding the pickup, and Jennifer suffered crippling injuries.

Later, District Attorney Donald Gallegos dropped manslaughter charges against Bailon, saying the charges wouldn't stand up in court because of the legal requirements necessary to charge someone with manslaughter, or the greater charge of vehicular homicide.

Gallegos referred the case to another district attorney for review, who ultimately charged Bailon with careless driving, driving left of center, and driving without a license.

On July 19 of this year, Bailon pleaded not guilty to the charges. But later that day, Bailon returned to court and changed his plea to "no contest."

The magistrate accepting the plea dropped the charge of driving without a license because Bailon, now 16, had obtained a driver's license since the time of the crash. The magistrate then fined Bailon $125 and ordered the youth to pay $110 in court costs.
