MOVE!

If you suck ass at lane splitting and you see another bike behind you, get the fuck out of the way.

09.27.08

Annette told me about a ride going on today so I joined in. Met the group up in Daly City and took off from there. We headed down hwy 1 to Pescadero first. It was pretty chilly and foggy on the way, thankfully I have to super duper Helimot glove finger squeegy! :)

From Pescadero we joined up with 84 and then made a stop at STP. After some good posing, we headed off down 35 to 9 to Boulder Creek for lunch. It was frickin hot by then so being inside with the gear off and a soda on the table was absolute heaven, and well the food, company and coversation was ok too :p

10lbs heavier, we set off to get back to hwy 1 taking the George deluxe adventure route. I hate Ice Cream Grade, thats all I have to say about that.

A quick pit stop for gas then back on the road. I departed from the group when we hit 92 in Half Moon bay. Traffic was at its peak, but once on 280 it was full throttle all the way home.....and I was so happy to be home. I was hot, tired, my butt hurt, my knees ached....all cured by a nice nap with the kittens :)

So big thanks to Jason for organizing this ride, Annette for inviting me, and George and Andrew and the other peeps who split at Alices. I had a really great day.

352 CSH, A Co. @ Camp Roberts

Took me long enough to post something eh?

So went to Camp Roberts this last weekend for weapons qualification....that place is such a hole!

Yet I had fun. It was really unit bonding for me because before this weekend I only really knew Ramsay.....now I know everyone, and they're all pretty damn cool. For the first time I LOVE the company I am in.

Friday we headed out...I had to wake up too early! We took a big bus down, pit stop in Soledad, and settled into our barracks. The barracks were the nastiest I've yet to see from the Army. I wish I took a picture inside, disgusting is putting it nicely. Didnt do much friday except get set up, then way too late we had a 100% UA, good times.
Went to bed late and got up early to head out to the range. Got suckered into being range detail since we were the first truck load on site. Zero range first (cept we didnt get to zero so what was the fucking point??) Pop up range...crappy. No sand bags, some random foam block thingies, oh and did I mention it was 110 degrees? Yeah....as SPC Ramos would say, if I had balls......

Saturday evening wen tto the rec center for a cold soda...then off to bed. Even earlier wake up sunday...barracks maintenance and then the waiting game. Got back to Moffet around 1630..got home around 1830. Long weekend...but actually kinda fun.

k, a few pics:

Hey B Company...lose something???!!!!
